The GlobalSign OrganizationSSL certificate can be ordered with the wildcard option, public IP address option and/or the SANs option (often referred to as Unified Communications Certificates (UCC) or multi domain SSL certificates). See below for further information and prices.

Add the WILDCARD option

Wildcard, a single SSL certificate to secure multiple subdomains

Typically, a standard SSL certificate is issued to a single FQDN, which may be a single subdomain. This means it will only secure the exact FQDN to which it has been issued. Securing multiple subdomains by this method can become fairly expensive very quickly. To save time and money, we can offer the Wildcard option (except with EV certificates). With this option, a certificate is issued to *.example.com, where the * replaces a "fixed" sub-domain with a "variable" one. This certificate will then secure any subdomain (on the same level), including www. but not https://example.com (this non-www. restriction applies to all wildcard certificates).

Adding the wildcard option to the OrganizationSSL is just £140 for a one year certificate.

Add the PUBLIC IP ADDRESS option

Typically, a standard SSL certificate is issued to a single FQDN, such as www.example.com. However, there are situations where you may need a SSL certificate issued to a public IP address.

The Public IP Address SSL option allows you to specify a public IP address in the common name in your CSR. The issued certificate can then be used to secure connections directly with the IP address, for example https://123.456.78.90

Please note: Only public IP addresses may be used (although the SANs option will allow local IP addresses). You must be the owner of the IP address as per records held at RIPE. Make sure you create a CSR with a common name of your IP address, for example 123.456.78.90

Adding the Public IP Address SSL option to the OrganizationSSL is just £16 for a one year certificate.

Add the SUBJECT ALTERNATIVE NAMES option

Subject Alternative Names, a single SSL certificate to secure multiple FQDNs, subdomains or IP addresses

Typically, a standard SSL certificate is issued to a single FQDN, such as www.example.com. A GlobalSign SANs SSL certificate allows you to add up to 40 FQDNs, subdomains, public IP addresses, internal IP addresses and local hostnames to be secured using the same single certificate. This provides complete flexibility and allows you to build a SSL certificate that is simple to use, simple to install and more secure than a wildcard SSL. Each SANs certificate is built to your exact server security requirements.

SANs SSL certificates are often referred to as Unified Communications Certificates (UCC) or multi domain SSL certificates.

Adding the SANs option to the OrganizationSSL is free of charge, you only pay the standard OrganizationSSL price plus the option price for each option you use.
